Ed has more than 30 years experience in radio. He started as a part
time announcer both in high school and while he attended the University
of South Carolina. Accomplishments during that time included being named
by Billboard Magazine as the runner-up "Personality of the Year" in
small markets and small market "Program Director of the year." By the
time he was 21, Ed was involved in ownership and management of radio
properties, and he was selected as "Broadcaster of the Year by the
South Carolina Broadcasters Association. His station was named "Station
of the Year" in 1972. He moved on into ownership in larger markets,
including Chicago, as well as positions at the corporate level with
several broadcast groups. Ed's reputation among a large number of
colleagues in the industry allows him to communicate with company
leaders at any time.
