EAST TENNESSEE AND NORTH GEORGIA RADIO ANNOUNCE 5-STATION PURCHASE FROM CLEAR CHANNEL

CHARLESTON, SC – Two radio groups headed by Paul G. Fink in the Chattanooga, TN area -- East Tennessee Radio Group, L. P. and North Georgia Radio Group, L. P. -- have reached an agreement with Clear Channel Communications, Inc., to acquire three FM and two AM stations there. The purchasing partnerships are represented by American Media Services (AMS), of Charleston, S. C.

The stations include WTUN-FM, in Chattanooga, TN, and WDAL-AM, WBLJ-AM, WYYU-FM and WQMT-FM, all of Dalton, GA. The purchase involved a $6 million transaction.

Todd Fowler, President of Brokerage for AMS, said the agreement is a great way to start the new year, especially since 2005 was the strongest brokerage year in AMS history. AMS is the fastest growing brokerage company in the U. S., and ended the year with a total of more than $57.5 million in brokerage transactions. “Our brokerage side of AMS has grown very significantly this year, and we are eagerly looking to the year ahead,” said Fowler. “Strong closings over the last half of 2005 have positioned AMS well for a strong beginning in 2006.”
