AMERICAN MEDIA SERVICES LAUNCHES REDESIGNED WEBSITE

April 13, 2006

Charleston, SC – American Media Services, one of the country's leading radio brokerage and developmental engineering firms, announced today that it has launched a newly redesigned website (www.americanmediaservices.com). And the firm has incorporated two components on the site to serve as a forum for discussions about the future of the industry, a blog AMS calls 'Industry Viewpoints,' and the AMS Radio Index.

The index is a scientifically conducted national survey that measures consumer attitudes about radio and the other technologies that compete for consumers' attention, such as satellite radio, iPods and webcasts.

"We decided to become more aggressive in getting the word out about radio because we have long suspected that all the national media interest in the new technologies did not reflect what was going on with the American consumer," said Ed Seeger, President and CEO of AMS. "That's why we decided to conduct two national surveys a year, to discover what the consumer really was thinking about radio, and we also wanted to establish the blog as a location where provocative and timely discussions could be held about everything that's going on in our industry."

The first AMS Radio Index was released in January, and its results received widespread dissemination in both trade publications and numerous consumer media, such as the Los Angeles Times, Hartford Courant, The New York Daily News, Orlando Sentinel and others.

"We've just commissioned the second AMS Radio Index, and it goes out in the field Easter weekend," Seeger added. "We think there are some very compelling areas of inquiry in our second index, and we will have the results in time for distribution at the NAB in Las Vegas."

In Industry Viewpoints (the blog), AMS will initiate articles of interest with commentary, and invite others within the industry to comment or take issue with the points made in each entry. "I think we've been needing to talk with each other for quite a while now, to get our story together for a national audience," Seeger said. "Hopefully this will be just the beginning, and others will begin thinking of taking a more aggressive attitude about promoting our wonderful medium."

AMS is the fastest growing brokerage company in the U.S., and its developmental division leads the country in successfully implementing station upgrades by moving them into larger markets, dramatically increasing their value. Since its founding in 1997, AMS has increased the value of 21 stations across the country by $205,130,000, and more than $200 million in proposed rulemakings are currently pending before the FCC. Headquartered in Charleston, SC, the other regional offices are in Chicago, Dallas and Austin, TX.
