AMERICAN MEDIA SERVICES HIRES BRUCE POLLOCK
May 07, 2006

CHARLESTON, SC – American Media Services, the country's leading developmental engineering and fastest-growing brokerage company, today announced its sixth office opening, this one on the West Coast, and the hiring of a seasoned and nationally-respected leader in the radio brokerage field to run that office.

Bruce Pollock has been named to run AMS' new office in San Luis Obispo, California. Prior to joining AMS, Pollock had served as Vice President of Sales for Arbitron Integrated Radio Systems for more than two years.

"We are delighted to have Bruce join us as we continue to provide superior services to our growing list of brokerage clients," said Todd Fowler, president of AMS' brokerage division. "His outstanding career in the radio industry, and the long list of important contacts he has made during that career, will strengthen AMS' abilities to provide strong brokerage support for our clients."

AMS President and CEO Ed Seeger agreed. “As we continue to strengthen the brokerage side of our business, we are very pleased that we have made this strategic hire," Seeger said. "One of our goals was to have offices from coast to coast, and now we are able to reach our clients anywhere around the country with a short flight from one of our regional offices." AMS' other regional offices are in Charleston, Chicago, Denver, Austin and Dallas.

AMS is a full-service radio brokerage, engineering and developmental engineering firm, and its developmental division leads the country in successfully implementing station upgrades by moving them into larger markets, dramatically increasing their value. Since its founding in 1997, AMS has increased the value of 21 stations across the country by $205.1 million, and more than $200 million in proposed rulemakings are currently pending before the FCC. AMS had a record-breaking year in brokerage transactions in 2005, completing $57.5 million in successful transactions.
